A resident of Frisco, TX, and a municipal finance professional with a career spanning more than two decades in public-benefit financing, Lee McCormick serves as the president of Community Development Associates and Lone Star PACE, both headquartered in Frisco, TX. In this capacity, Lee McCormick has worked in tax-exempt bond financing for environmental and economic development projects throughout Texas. His work at Lone Star PACE included expanding the program’s transaction volume from $6 million to $180 million.
Mr. McCormick earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Sam Houston State University in 1989 and an MBA from the University of Houston in 1999, graduating summa cum laude from both schools. He has worked with various municipal advisory firms, concentrating on tax-exempt private activity bonds and clean energy financing across a range of jurisdictions.
Between 2004 and 2022, Mr. McCormick served as the president of Sierra Management Group, a municipal advisory company based in California. In that role, he advised the California Municipal Finance Authority on financing efforts totaling over $20 billion and worked on related charitable initiatives. He is also the finance manager at Granite Municipal Advisors. Outside of work, Mr. McCormick is a graduate of Leadership Frisco Class 13 and enjoys participating in recreational activities such as cycling, fishing, and skiing.
